CIP Program Requirements
Publishers participating in the CIP program are obligated:

To transmit to LC the complete text (including the prescribed codes) or, at minimum,
core required materials
of each title for which CIP data is requested.

To print the CIP data in the book.

To send a complimentary copy of the book to the CIP Division immediately upon publication.
